Grace Christian Fellowship is a body of believers made up from all different backgrounds–Japanese, American, Canadian, and Australian–all united to worship Christ and make Him known in Japan! We believe God has called us for His purpose here, and whether you are from Japan, temporarily living in Japan, or you are just wondering about Christianity, we invite you to join us as we gather throughout the week.
We believe that God speaks to us through His word, the Bible; therefore, we strive to faithfully teach his word chapter by chapter, verse by verse, week in and week out.
We confess the Apostle’s Creed, the Nicene Creed, and use the New City Catechism in our Sunday School class.

Church Leadership
Thomas Cotton
Pastor
Tom is an Australian serving in Japan since 2006. His wife Chika is from Osaka and they have four young children. Tom graduated from Calvary Chapel Bible College in Okinawa and where he stayed on as teacher for another 6 years. In 2015 he accepted a call to serve as the associate pastor of Grace Christian Fellowship along side the founding pastor Jonathan Wilson. Since 2025 he now serves as the senior pastor of GCF. Tom has a passion for the Gospel, reformation theology, discipleship, and healthy churches.
Morning Service
Our Bilingual morning service begins at 10am. The worship is contemporary and the sermons normally teach through a book of the Bible. Communion is the first Sunday of each month.
Children’s Ministry
We currently have a Sunday school ministry for toddlers and young children during the morning service. If you would like your child to join please talk to one of the leaders at church.
Evening Service
Our English evening service begins at 6:30pm. It follows a traditional liturgy with communion celebrated each week. The message is bilingual.
English Cafe
The English Cafe is every 2nd Sunday of the month. It is 1:00-2:30pm and is a great opportunity to bring non-Christian friends!
Gospel Singing
Once a month a group gathers at the church on a Saturday to learn and sing together in the Gospel music style.
Gospel Hula
Just like Gospel Singing a group gathers once a month to learn and dance Hula together through Christian music.
Wed Bible Study
Every second Wednesday at 8pm at Pastor Tom’s house. Join us in our current study through the Book of Acts with Chris Bouget.
Summer VBS
Every Summer we hold a bilingual Vacation Bible School program for Elementary aged children. Older children are encouraged to attend as helpers and crew leaders!
Ome Festival
Each year in November Ome City holds an international festival in which the church takes part. It gives us a chance to be involved in the community, bless kids, sing worship songs, and share the gospel.
